The 2nd annual CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA CONCOURS ON THE AVENUE took place in Carmel on Monday, August 11, 2008 which featured Porsche and Ferrari 1947 thru 1973 and Tuesday, August 12 featured multi-marques 1946 thru 1971.

 

Monday and Tuesday:

135 entries each day displayed in juried classes vying for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in class plus 12 major awards staged on 16 blocks in the heart of Carmel including the high profile Ocean Avenue.

Heritage Avenue Exhibit for collector and high profile cars of all ages - entries staged as a formal presentation

 

During the 2007 event, Carmel-by-the-Sea’s world-famous Ocean Avenue had over fourteen blocks of downtown filled with collector cars and related motorized fun.  A fascinating mix of post-World War II American and foreign cars was showcased in front of a backdrop of charming shops, critically acclaimed restaurants and numerous art galleries. The CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA CONCOURS ON THE AVENUE features cars displayed in Carmel during the ten days of auction concours and vintage racing in August on the Monterey Peninsula.
