The word "Support" means to sustain a person, the mind, the spirit, under trial or affliction by supplying the things necessary for existence; to advocate, assist, and attend to a person's needs.
In Home Support Services
For members who may be frail or limited physically, housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, grocery shopping, errands and even personal care can present a daily challenge. The IHSS program provides limited financial stipends to enable members with limited financial resources to hire in home help.
In addition to the Foundation’s In Home Support Program, the staff can assist members with identifying their in home needs and referring appropriate agencies to obtain the necessary assistance.
