Ikebana is the ancient art of Japanese floral arrangement. There are multiple schools of ikebana, each with their own rules and styles. Ikuko Minami and Atsuko Veio will create arrangements in the style of the Ohara School. Ikebana International Monterey Bay Chapter #231 was chartered in 1989. Ikebana International is a worldwide, nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion and appreciation of ikebana. Today there are chapters in over 40 countries.
