Martha Casanave will highlight the points of view of selected women photographers whose strength and stamina helped them overcome often hidden obstacles. What was it like to pursue success in a man’s world — and which women helped male photographers advance their careers behind the scenes? Casanave has received the Imogen Cunningham Award and the Koret Israel Prize for her black and white portraiture and taught photography at Cabrillo and Monterey Peninsula colleges for thirty years.
